Mechanical Properties of Seawater Sea-sand Recycled Concrete in Sulfate Attack Environment

Abstract Seawater sea-sand recycled concrete (SSRAC) is a new sort of green concrete, it has good environmental and economic benefits. In this paper, the dry-wet cycle full immersion erosion environments simulated. The change characteristics mechanical properties SSRAC under sulfate attack are studied compared with ordinary (OC) freshwater river sand (RAC). test shows that erosion, significantly accelerates deterioration rate concrete. For in condition, strength still rising stage when corrosion to 120 d, there no obvious appearance. cycles, apparent damage gradually extends from diagonal surrounding. starts surface layer deepens. prismatic compressive resistance coefficient show same law as OC RAC, which increases first then decreases. lower than 75% at cycles. inferior slightly greater RAC.
